Broncos, bets, bands, babes and bourbon libations. Now if that doesn't sound like something that would only be happening in Kentucky, then I don't know what else does.
This Friday, Churchill Downs will close out it's Paddock Concert Series the same way they started it. With a Louisville band. This time, with psychedelic rockers Wax Fang.
This live music inside The Paddock is really turning out to be a hip concept and an unexpected cool concert venue. When the weather is right, there is not a more picturesque place to see a concert, if you're a proud Kentuckian. It doesn't seem to bother the horse racing element, you may pick the right horse if you make a lucky bet anyway, Churchill Downs will never run out of your favorite beverage of choice, and besides all that, those horse stalls make for a great backstage area, you know?
Wax Fang, who is currently working on a new album, makes another hometown appearance. This time set to the decadent ambience of Kentucky Derby lore, and crowds that most traditional Louisville area live music venues aren't able to accommodate.
You want a concert experience, without the concert price? Then this is a good bet for you.
