The secret is out: OutKast will be at the 2014 Forecastle this July. The lineup went live Tuesday morning and it is all that Louisville can talk about.

As the lineup went live and OutKast was cast across the first of this year’s headliners including Jack White, Beck, and The Replacements, I immediately wondered what songs they would perform.

Would they perform tracks from their debut album,

    Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik,

like “Player’s Ball” or “Git up, Git Out”, or would they play classics from Stankonia, like “So Fresh, So Clean” and “Ms. Jackson”. I personally hope Big Boi brings back that hairstyle from the album cover as a part of the 20 year reunion.

And you can’t forget ATLiens, OutKast’s sophomore album, including hits like “Elevator, Me & You”, B.O.B, and “2 Dope Boys in a Cadillac". Easily one of the strangest, most interesting albums from an artist.

Or, maybe, Big Boi will perform “The Way You Move

from the duo’s solo work on Speakerboxx/The Love Below. Thank you, Big Boi, for the Star Wars reference and allowing us to watch Sleepy Brown dance. (I just love the way that man dances)

If that’s the case, Andre 3000 will have to perform “Roses”, his hit single from The Love Below. What a well choreographed video, as we are taken into a Grease-esque era talent show. This is where I realized it was important to be a not be a Caroline and that real guys go for real down to Mars girls.

I will be happy with any songs that OutKast chooses to perform. Based off their choreography in videos, I believe that they will surprise the audience with their funky style and Southern charm. OutKast will be extremely busy this Summer, headlining more than 40 music festivals across the U.S. Lucky for Louisville, we get to watch the successful duo in our own backyard.

Weekend passes went live this afternoon at 12 EST and daily passes will be available closer to the festival when the daily schedule is released. See you there!
