Be sure to stop by the Brown Theater this Sunday evening to experience the Louisville Youth Choir in a concert of fairy tale music!

    Celebrating its

    47th

season this year, the Louisville Youth Choir is home to six ensembles that feature more than one hundred musicians from over sixty schools in the area.  In its nearly half-century history, the

    LYC

has toured Europe and North America and has performed in Vienna, Salzburg, Chicago and New York City to name a few.

The Youth Choir has also enjoyed numerous collaborations with other area ensembles including the Louisville Orchestra, Kentucky Opera, the Louisville Ballet and the Louisville Youth Orchestra.  In 2007--the same year Artistic/Executive Director Terri E. Foster was appointed--the

    LYC

became Artists in Residence at Sacred Heart School for the Arts.  Discover more about the

    LYC

    here.

Featuring selections inspired by fairy tales from across popular and classical genres, the Youth Choir will close out its 2013/14 season on Sunday in a concert that also showcases special guests from the Sacred Heart School for the Arts Dance Ensemble.  The

    LYC

is directed by Terri E. Foster, Dr. Louie L. Bailey and Rhonda

    Hibdon

and the Dance Ensemble is choreographed by Julie

    McWilliams

    .

The performance is this Sunday, April

    27th

at 7 pm.  Tickets start at $13 and can be purchased online here.
