OKTOBERFEST/OKTOBERFEAST
Louisville is the quintessential outdoor celebration of Fall and the River City’s
rich German heritage. The two-day party
on Fourth Street,
between Broadway and Chestnut Streets, will satisfy our city’s annual craving
for real German food, live music and brew.
The official caterer of the OKTOBERFEST/OKTOBERFEAST Louisville is the famous
Schnitzelbank of Jasper, Indiana. Revelers
will enjoy authentic schnitzel, brats, sauerkraut and more while they brush up
for the biggest “Duck Dance” in town. If
all goes well, more than a few brave Deutsche-o-philes will save room for the
Annual “Bratwurst Eating Contest.”
OKTOBERFEST/OKTOBERFEAST
Louisville is produced by the Bisig Impact Group.
The festival runs Friday and Saturday this weekend in the 600 block of South Fourth Street at Theatre Square. Friday hours are 4-11pm and Saturday is 1-11pm. Admission is free, but the beer and brats aren't so bring some cash.
Entertainment includes Hot Brats, Jay Fox Band, The Kaelins, The Polka Dots, and the Rise & Shine Cloggers
