The Palace Theater will come alive this Saturday with the dancing feet of local students from MAGIC (Making Art Grow In Children) as they perform the Nutcracker in a Nutshell

For the fifth year, students from the non-profit, pre-professional dance company will bring this holiday story to the stage. Billed as a “shorter, child-friendly version of the traditional Nutcracker ballet,” the MAGIC adaptation revolves around the main plot points of the original story. Clara, her doll, the Land of Sweets, and the battle with the Mouse King all make an appearance in this staged version.

If your teens and toddlers aren’t ready for the main event (the Brown-Forman Nutcracker begins December 10th), this might be the cultural holiday treat you’re looking for.

Nutcracker in a Nutshell has two performances this Saturday, December 3, at 2 and 7pm. Tickets are $17.50 and $20 and can be purchased online via the Louisville Palace, or by phone by calling 502-583-4555.
