After the prizes, banners and trophies are handed out, visitors to the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) can find plenty of alternative entertainment that
    complements the competitions.

From Nov. 13-15, the region's best cowboys and cowgirls will compete for more than $80,000 in prizes and the title of regional champion in the North American Championship Rodeo. The Great Lakes Circuit Rodeo Finals for the Pro Rodeo Cowboy Association showcases top cowboys and cowgirls from a nine-state region, including: Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin.

Shoppers will find the latest in western wear and livestock gear, in addition to a variety of equipment and trailers for sale at the Giant Country Store. Located in the North Wing, the Country Store houses a selection of handcrafted furniture, home furnishings, pottery and
jewelry priced for every shopper. In addition, the popular Art of Wool Showcase features displays and demonstrations by craftsmen and women who show how wool goes from sheep to shawl.

The annual Farm/City Luncheon, will be held Nov. 11 at 11:30 a.m. The ticketed luncheon, produced by Louisville's Agribusiness Industry Network, features the presentation of the "Agribusiness of the Year" award and the fun-filled "Wing Tip Rodeo," a light-hearted roping
competition between agribusiness and local business leaders.

Education is also a central focus of the expo; last year more than 4,800 students attended NAILE and participated in the interactive learning stations through the school field trip program. The program, sponsored by Kentucky Farm Bureau, provides a unique learning experience for students that explain how the livestock industry affects our everyday
    lives.

Ticket prices for NAILE are $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under and seniors 55 and over. A pass for the entire two-week run is just $25. Parking is $6 each day, or visitors can purchase a parking pass good for the duration of the show for $25.

Admission for the North American Championship Rodeo is as follows: Thursday, Nov. 13 - $17; Friday, Nov. 14 - $27; Saturday, Nov. 15 - $32. On Nov. 14 and 15, tickets are just $10 for children 12 and under. Group discounts are also available. Tickets for the rodeo are available at www.ticketmaster.com, by phone at 800-487-1212 or in person at the KEC
Ticket Office, as well as online using Ticketmaster's TicketFast service.
