Multiple play packages and hotel discounts are available for theatre lovers and those who want to see the fruits of American playwrights first for the 33rd Humana Festival of New American Plays presented by Actors Theatre of Louisville March 1 through April 8. New Play Getaway packages are available for weekends in March and early April in three to eight-play groupings.
New Play Getaway packages offer guaranteed best available reserved tickets, a Festival guide, complimentary shuttle service (available only March 27-29 and April 3-5), a Friday evening welcome reception for New Play Getaway guests (available only March 27-29 and April 3-5), A Saturday evening party with drink ticket (available only April 4) and hotel discounts to area hotels. The packages also offer a chance to be with like-minded individuals who have an interest in the trends of the American Theatre.
Play packages inlclude the following plays: Wild Blessings: A Celebration of Wendell Berry adapted for the stage by Artistic Director Marc Masterson and Adrien-Alice Hansel from the writing of Wendell Berry, Absalom by Zoe Kazan, Under Construction by Charles L. Mee, Slasher by Allison Moore, Ameriville by UNIVERSES (Gamal Abdel Chasten, Mildred Ruiz, William Ruiz aka Ninja and Steven Sapp), and The Hard Weather Boating Party by Naomi Wallace.
