    Bit to Do

New Clarksville Tattoo Parlour steps things up a bit [Visual Art]

If you want a tattoo and want to go somewhere with an awesome ambience to get it, you might want to cross the bridge and visit Extreme Ink and Tattoo.

Jason "Monsta" Maniloff has built a following in many shops in the Kentuckiana area but has finally opened his own shop that will leave you in awe. You might feel like you're in a club house when you first walk in - one that's really well taken care of and well styled. The waiting room has furry red rugs on the floor, black leather couches and red swivel leather chairs. The flash art is nicely displayed in a "flip through" style, and there's other art on the walls. The place feels...POSH, complete with custom melded table with the shop name welded into it. Two sixty-inch large screen televisions with x-box 360's keep waiting customers busy. The four private tattoo booths are more like rooms with beautiful curtains covering the doors. Each room has a flat screen t.v. in it. I was impressed to say the least.

It's easy to drive past it on Eastern Boulevard without even noticing it. It sits next to Asylum Extreme hobby shop (paintball, remote control vehicles, airsoft). You'd never know such a cool spot was hiding in a strip mall type setting. They have a steady stream of business, and the customers are Monsta's favorite part of the job.

"I love all of my clients,"said Monsta'. "and the conversations that we come up with"

The shop opened in December and  offers tattoos, piercing, and permanent make-up. Their prices are fair and actually a bit below most in the area. You can see some of the artists' work on their facebook page.

They have 50 years collective tattoo experience between them; JD Hall and Monster have 30 years collective experience in body modification. The permanent make-up is applied by a licensed technician.

The shop is located at 531 Eastern Boulevard in Clarksville, Indiana and is open Monday - Thursday from 12 noon to 10 pm. Their weekend hours are Friday and Saturday 12 noon to 12 midnight. They can be reached at 812-282-8282 or 502-356-5839.
