Sister Bean's is a comfy coffee shop located on New Cut Road across from Iroquois Park. I fell in love with the shop when I randomly decided to visit one morning for a cup of coffee.

The owner is Corky Girodo, and he moved to Louisville from Birmingham, Alabama to open Sister Bean's with his sister, Teresa Gailor. The shop first opened on Manslick Road at Gagel Avenue across from Iroquois Park on November 29, 2005. Corky and Teresa relocated in September of 2010 at their current location on New Cut Road. The shop has a free Wi-Fi bar, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, a selection of Comfy Cow ice cream for those customers with a sweet tooth, delicious hot, iced, and frozen beverages, a lunch menu full of sandwiches, wraps, and soups, and a weekly drink special that always keeps me coming back for more.

Did I mention that they have a big selection of tasty pastries? There are lemon bars, brownies, chess bars, pumpkin rolls, pecan sticky buns, savory bacon scones, creme cheese Danish, blueberry and cherry turnovers, and an assortment of cupcakes, cookies, muffins, and bagels. Each item can be found right next to the register, and trust me; you will want to stop and look at all of them.

I took my mom with me when these photos were taken, and I had the iced chai latte and she had the frozen vanilla cream. The drinks were amazing and full of flavor. I have always thought that the chai latte at Sister Bean's tastes similar to the milk in a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. It is just one of those drinks that I cannot stop drinking. Also, my mom loved her drink so much that she could not put it down.

Sister Bean's also has a drive-thru that I have frequented on several occasions. It really comes in handy on those mornings when I have crawled out of bed for my coffee fix. I will have pajamas, messy hair, and smudged makeup under my eyes, but at least I have my coffee.

I also have a few photos from my Instagram account. These photos are from my first few visits: the first time I went, the first drink I had (iced chai latte), the cranberry orange walnut muffin, the banana nut muffin, and that one time when I enjoyed the chicken avocado sandwich with potato salad inside the shop.

Can you see why I am addicted now? There are so many choices between coffee and pastries, and the employees at the shop are sweeter than the Comfy Cow ice cream that they serve. I also have to mention that I have tried other drinks as well, such as the hot buttered toffee latte (my current favorite), caramel pecan mocha, vanilla berry latte, and the white velvet mocha, to name a few. The weekly drink specials are always listed on their Facebook page. Sister Bean's is such a cozy place to go and relax with a good book, to grab a bite to eat, to catch up on emails, to work on schoolwork, to meet up with loved ones, or to just grab a cup of coffee. I love Sister Bean's so much that I believe my addiction will go on forever.
