The Louisville Pops Orchestra will be performing alongside Michael Bolton as a part of the Chase POPS series on Saturday, October 20th, 2007. The concert begins at 8:00pm at The Louisville Palace. Come see
Celebrating his 26th anniversary with the Louisville Orchestra, Principal Pops Conductor Bob Bernhardt continues to bring his unique combination of easy style, infectious enthusiasm and wonderful musicianship to the city and orchestra he loves. In 1981, he accepted the post of Assistant Conductor and has worked with the Louisville Orchestra in every season since. Bernhardt leads the Pops orchestra in selections from “Kiss Me Kate” and music from the film Titanic during this first half of this awe inspiring performance!
If you tallied all the artists who’ve sung with Luciano Pavarotti and Ray Charles, written songs with Bob Dylan, penned hits for Barbra Streisand and KISS, played guitar with B.B. King and been sampled on a track by hip-hop superstar Kanye West (featuring megastar Jay-Z), Michael Bolton would be the only name on that list. And he doesn’t take such dream collaborations for granted. “Working with people who’ve inspired me so profoundly, like Ray and Luciano, it’s like an out-of-body experience,” the singer marvels. “These are some of the greatest moments of my life.” Witness Michael Bolton’s amazing repertoire for yourself when you att/files/storyimages/his one night engagement with the Louisville Orchestra.
