2014 was very, very good to Manny & Merle. So good, the downtown restaurant plans to expand both their menu and their space.

On March 24, Manny and Merle will add ten items to their menu including "Mighty Fine Hot Chicken, a Nashville style fried chicken (4 heat levels available), a Dixie Chicken Sandwich and to-die-for homemade Mac n Cheese crocks. Skillet Cornbread and Bacon Picks (a hand-cut bacon treat on a stick) are also part of the fun. The bar menu will also be updated and expanded featuring more local craft beer" according to a recent press release. “We’ve had a great two years and we want to keep it going by adding more exciting food and drink options.” explained Founder and CEO Tony Palombino. “We will keep all of the current food and drink fan favorites like our Green Chili Tacos and Mannyritas.”

Manny and Merle is well-known for their tacos and their honky-tonk style live music. This Autumn an expansion is planned: Manny and Merle will take over the barber shop next door to add 80 seats, a larger stage and a private party room. If all this news has you craving some Manny & Merle goodness, you can visit the Manny & Merle NCAA Tailgate Village right now, downtown, and enjoy live music, a beer garden, and food.
