The Moth is a New York based non-profit that is bringing back the art of storytelling. There’s an audience, a microphone and a handful of storytellers, which can be you if you are so inclined and have a good story to tell. In September of last year, Louisville joined as a part of the national StorySLAMs, which happen the last Tuesday of every month at Headliners Music Hall thanks in part to radio station WFPL 89.3 FM. Find out more about The Moth in Louisville here. The National site can be found here. The Moth podcast recently featured Louisvillian Tom Herndon’s true story. The theme of the night was Busted. About Julie Gross

I’m originally from Ohio, but have been a Louisvillian for half my life. I divide my time between hubby, 3 kids, too many pets, and the 930 Art Center. When I'm not, you'll find me running the trails in Cherokee or Jefferson Memorial Forest.
