Attention all artists, arts  organizations, business
persons, arts administrators, clergy,  educators, community advocates/activists, and
young emerging  artists. Mark your calendar for Saturday, November 22, 2008.
Please attend a very important arts and culture meeting 10 a.m.-noon at the
downtown  Louisville Free Public Library. The meeting will be held in the
Centennial  Room (Basement area) Become an advocate for local arts.

This year marks the Tenth Anniversary of the Arts Council of  Louisville,
Inc., founded in 1998. In the current phase of our work, we want  you to know
that we GREATLY  value and appreciate your continued support.  We thank you for
sharing our vision of "arts for everyone, everyday and  everywhere." Our
mission is to connect, strengthen and support community  arts.

As a Great Creative Community we now must move  forward. The Arts Council of
Louisville wants you to be actively  involved by coming aboard through the
preliminary process for a  strategic plan. Become a stakeholder and develop the
future of  community arts. This meeting is for you to give your input and
commitment to work towards a two-year strategic plan for the Arts Council of
Louisville that supports arts education, space/venue needs, festivals, art
grants, an annual arts festival, summer arts workshops for youth, artist
    residencies and neighborhood partnership initiatives.

The meeting will focus on identifying issues  and determining some action
steps to sustain and  stabilize local arts in our community. There are many ways
to be involved  in this "Open Arts Dialogue for Change." Your participation is
paramount in  taking a proactive role in how to unite and bring greater value
to local arts  in all disciplines and ethnic groups. The meeting is an
endeavor of the  Arts Council of Louisville to bring together all cultures and the
community-at-large. This event is free and open to the public.  Accessible to
    all disabilities.
    To RSVP call (502) 295-7907 or (502) 585-9525.
