Louisville.com is hiking up its knickers and wading into political coverage, focusing on Kentucky and Louisville, but delving into national and international affairs when there's a local connection. A combination of politics, news, and opinion, this section will be called The Arena:

To wit, The Arena's two principal contributors aren't writers feigning some unattainable level of removed objectivity, but rather are active participants in Louisville politics:
- Thomas McAdam has been a student, a soldier, a college political science teacher, a political campaign treasurer, and legal adviser to Louisville's Police Department and Board of Aldermen. He now practices law and shares his political opinions with anyone who will listen. A registered Democrat for 50 years, he's a recovering liberal. He feels the far left-wing of the party is hot on the path to self-destruction and hopes to be around to help pick up the pieces.
- Keith Rouda is a committed advocate for progressive policies and solutions. His professional background has seen work from small businesses to some of the largest corporations in the country, in fields as diverse as advertising, health care, talent acquisition, information technology, and industrial quality. He has an MBA from Sullivan University, is a regional organizer with MoveOn.org, and has lived and raised his family in Louisville since 1995.
