Louisville Metro Government and the owners of the Louisville Bats are spending $150,000 on improvements to Louisville Slugger Field.

Fans will notice a dramatic improvement in the ballpark's popular left field lawn area, known as the berm.

Mayor Jerry Abramson says the berm's slope is being adjusted to make it more comfortable.

The size of the ballpark's playground area is being doubled, with the new section designed for children ages two to five.

The Bats' parent team, the Cincinnati Reds, will play an exhibition game against the Toronto Blue Jays at Louisville Slugger Field on Saturday, April 2.
