Louisville has made another TOP 10 LIST! This time we are on the nice list, not the naughty! Southern Living magazine’s January issue is out and Louisville was named one of 10 southern cities in the running for the “South’s Tastiest Town.”
I know we have great restaurants and chefs, and now we are finally getting some national publicity. I always tell friends from out of town that we are one of the best “foodie” cities in America. Now that statement is being support by Southern Living.
The staff of Southern Living says it chose cities whose citizens were “foodie obsessed,” and their senior travel editor, Paula Disbrowe, told Insider Louisville, “It started with a big overview of food towns, a mix of established food destinations followed by a look at more second-tier cities” She continued, “These were places that had a mix of food artisans and new tastemakers on the scene, people devoted to preserving southern culinary traditions while redefining them in their own way.”
