    Eat & Swig

Louisvillians gathered in the recently opened Old Forester Paristown Hall last Friday for Louisville Magazine's sixth annual Louisville Swig event, celebrating the end of Prohibition and the release of the newest issue of Louisville SWIG. This year, Billy Goat Strut Revue took to the stage again, performing tunes with vintage flare and creating the perfect playlist for a night of swing dancing. Returning to the floor was Whiskey Wizard Richard Darshwood, who dazzled the audience with mystifying tricks throughout the night. A hidden entrance behind a baker's rack led party goers inside an elevator up to the Old Forester Speakeasy, where performers from CirqueLouis twirled suspended rings dangling from the rafters. A walk around the speakeasy perimeter invited guests to indulge in some pampering with a pop-up hair salon by J. Michael’s Salon, shoe shining by Executive Shoe Shine and, of course, samples of Old Forester. There was even a chance to commemorate the night by sitting for a live drawing with Caricatures by Vickie.

A very special thanks to our sponsors Old Forester (Speakeasy Sponsor), Four Roses Bourbon, Phocus and NuYale, and to our non-profit partner Louisville Public Media, as well as to our hotel partner and after-party host, Moxy Louisville Downtown. Thank you to our vendors and all attendees who came out to swig with us! See you next year!
