After spending part of forever on the road, the 14th ranked University of Louisville football Cardinals return to Papa John's Cardinal Stadium for a homecoming match up against the University of South Florida Bulls tomorrow afternoon at 3:30pm. For the second game in a row, the Cards avoid the monsoon conditions that nearly saw them lose their first game. Look for temperatures in the 60s at kick off with partly to mostly sunny skies. This should encourage a full house for the 6-0 home team.

The 2-4 Bulls come into the game with very little hope to hold Teddy Bridgewater, who returned to early season form against Pittsburgh with 304 yards passing and a touchdown. The Panther defense entered into the game looking strong but when Bridgewater opened the second half with a 75 yard touchdown strike to DeVante Parker, Pitt never recovered.

Now the Louisville offense, which includes Big East Offensive Player of the Week Senorise Perry, goes against a USF team that has lost its last four games. And while their defense worries about the Cards QB play, they also have to find a way to stop Perry who ended up in the end zone four times last week. And if they do find a way to keep Perry limited, Jeremy Wright's speed could end up being the dagger that takes the Bulls out of the game. That's a lot to have to think about on every snap.

The USF offense isn't without weapons. Quarterback B. J. Daniels is serviceable but has problems throwing interceptions. He has 8 on the season, which is more than one per game. He's not afraid to run, though, and that could give the UofL defense some match up issues since they tend to go soft at times already. With 270 yards rushing on the season, Daniels will have to be contained in order for the Cards to get stops. The Louisville defense also needs to run some of the packages that allowed them to get to Pitt QB Tino Sunseri for 5 sacks last week.

Doing those things should lead to a Louisville Cardinal homecoming victory 45-10.
