Louisville Equestrian Center (LEC) has just announced that they will be moving to a new home. They are purchasing the Red Barn Arena in Taylorsville, Kentucky. The move allows them to own outright their facility.

    Stalls at Red Barn Arena

Red Barn Arena has been for sale for some time and hosted various equestrian events throughout the years. There are several future events that were scheduled through Red Barn Arena. The scheduled dog show to be held on April 6-8 will go on as usual, but LEC isn’t sure what the status will be for those events scheduled after that as yet.

LEC plans on moving their operations into the new facility on April 1 where their normal lesson schedule will continue. The normal lesson schedule at their current facility at 2612 S. English Station Rd will continue until March 29. On March 30 there will not be lessons but a “Welcome to the new barn!” party will be held to introduce clients to their new facility. On Easter Sunday there will be no lessons.

Outdoor Arena at Red Barn Arena

Red Barn Arena boasts an indoor arena and outdoor arena. The facility does have a food serving area, bathrooms, stalls, and a viewing/office/announcer’s stand building inside of the indoor arena. I was just at this facility on March 16 for a show and it is a well kept facility.

Red Barn Arena is located at 6720 Hwy 44 East, Taylorsville, KY. The facility is easily accessed via the Gene Snyder Freeway from Louisville.
