When Diamonds Concert Hall posted the announcement for their Lil Wayne concert, the post read "That's not a typo!"
Even with the reassurance, there are probably people still out there rubbing their eyes thinking that a Lil Wayne performance would be more suited for the KFC Yum! Center. Well as it turns out, Lil Wayne will be promoting his newest release Sorry For The Wait 2 at mostly nightclubs and smaller music venues. He will be at Diamonds Concert Hall on Barret Avenue Thursday, April 23.
The Louisville date is not confirmed via Lil Wayne's website but the details on Diamonds' Facebook event are too thorough to think it is a ruse. General admission tickets are $75, early entry tickets (for one hour early entrance to the venue) are $125, and a VIP side stage ticket is $150.
Sorry For The Wait 2 was released in January to compensate the problems Lil Wayne is having with his record company that is causing his next studio album, Tha Carter V, to be delayed. Sorry For The Wait 2 has 13 remixes including one version of Beyonce's "Drunk In Love" as well as 4 original songs. Lil Wayne released the first Sorry For The Wait mixtape in 2011 when these same problems delayed Tha Carter IV.
You can download Sorry For The Mixtape 2 here.
Openers for Lil Wayne are locals Chadillac Dundee and Elephant Room.
