Any time you get to spend an evening listening to songwriting masters Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt, it's a treat. And if you want some Valentine's Day romance with more quirk than sap, Whitney Hall on February 13 at 7:00 p.m. is the place to be. Performing an acoustic show together that will, no doubt, feature some of their classic songs, Lovett and Hiatt bring their well-honed musical skills to the big hall this Sunday night.

Lovett, a native of Texas and a Grammy-winning artist, has been recording since 1986. He has a strong catalog to choose from, including his most recent album, 2009's Natural Forces. A sometime actor, Lovett recently performed the role of Balthazar in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing at the Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles.

Hiatt hails from Indianapolis and released his latest album last year, Open Road. He has performed with Lovett before at Kentucky Center, along with Guy Clark and Joe Ely in 2007. Opening in the Kentucky Center Bar from 6:00 to 6:50, don't miss budding Louisville singer-songwriter Justin Lewis and his band. Justin's first independent release was Man in Motion in 2009.

Tickets are $38 - $60, available from the Kentucky Center Box Office.
