While Snoop Dogg may have been rollin’ down the street, smoking something that’s only legal in a few states and sippin’ on gin and juice, Louisville’s own Copper and Kings Distillery has been working diligently on a year-long project. This is a company with much more on its mind than its money (and its money on its mind).

For over a year, the Copper and Kings Distillery, located in Butchertown, has been focusing on the production of the beverage that made Snoop Dogg’s lifestyle possible. And after several months of preparation, followed by an entire year of aging, it’s finally ready. Introducing the brand new “Stray Cat” Serbian juniper barrel-aged gin.

This one-of-a-kind double-distilled spirit was produced with classic gin botanicals and aged in a medium-char Serbian juniper barrel for a full year. Sure to offer a bright flavor you just simply can’t find in any other gin, it’s the spirit you’ll want to mix into all of your fall party cocktails and slip into your friends'stockings on Christmas morning. (It’s never too early to beat Santa to the punch… and spike it!)

To celebrate the reveal of this delectable new limited edition beverage, Copper and Kings is throwing a release party on Friday, August 28 to let everyone have a little taste and a chance to get their hands on their own bottle.

Guests of the event can look forward to an interactive discussion about the drink with Copper and Kings’ head distiller, Brandon O’Daniel along with a general question and answer session, accompanied with a tasting. The small batch of 750 bottles will be for sale and the bottle’s label artist, Douglas Miller, will be available on site to sign bottles .

Don’t miss out on this rare beverage produced right here in Louisville! The party starts at 7 p.m. on August 28 at the Copper and Kings Distillery (1121 E. Washington Street). For more information, visit the company’s website
