    KMAC Couture Art Walks The Runway

    The Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft (KMAC) presents the second annual KMAC Couture Art Walks the Runway event on April 11, 2014. KMAC Museum presented the first KMAC Couture show in 2013 to a sold out crowd and this year the event has been expanded to accommodate a larger audience. KMAC Couture will be held on Main St

    reet under a white event tent located directly in front of the museum at 715 W. Main Street, Louisville, KY. Hors d'oeuvres, provided by Doc Crow's Southern Smokehouse, and cocktails will be available at 6:30pm. The runway show will begin at 8:00pm with an After Party following the event. Ticket prices are $125 per individual and can be purchased here. Premium Front Row Seating is also available. Contact Angela Hagan at angela@kmacmuseum.org.

    The dress code for KMAC Couture is shades of white in order to showcase the artistic value of the couture pieces.

    The garments worn for the KMAC Couture event are avant garde wearable art creations that are highly unique and expertly crafted. These original hand-executed designs are constructed from both traditional fabrics and non-traditional materials. The artists and designers that were chosen for the 2014 KMAC Couture are: Harcourt Allen, Maui Crane, Wendy Cudmore, Jen Grove, Sarah Havens, Megan Heinsohn, Cyndi Hinkebein Young, Frances Lewis, Dennis Schaffner, Sue Scoffield, Guy Tedesco, Rebekah Trigg, Raina Trimble, Cathy Wade, Rachel White, Claire Williams, Second Pres Weekday School, and the following du Pont Manual High School Visual Art students- Heather Barna, Sarah Bissmeyer, Brooke Borders, Jasmine Browning, Robert Fisher, Julia Gabriella Mellen, Jasmine Salahuddin, Hannah Smith, Anthony Springate, Abigail Stambaugh, Gabriella Torres.
