Say what you want about the rock band KISS – but fact of the matter is that you haven’t spent this summer sharing a stage with them. And you would if you were given the chance… (Is it only me with rock ‘n roll dreams of such magnitude?)

The guys in The Academy Is… HAVE been touring the country with Kiss, and while the young shaggy-haired rockers of a pop-punk pedigree may be unfamiliar to members of the KISS Army, they are “kind of a big deal” in their own right. (“Their own right” being they are former Warped Tour main stage acts that used to make pierced teenage girls swoon.)

So how do friends of Fall Out Boy keep level heads while going from playing 2000-seat venues to playing in front of 20,000 painted metal mavens the same age as their mom and dad? Answer: They book all of their off days playing club shows to their “normal” crowd.

That is why you can see the Chicago band rock Club Oasis (1506 Lakeshore Court, Louisville, KY 40223; off of Lynn Station Road in J-Town) Sunday night for just $10.

Show starts at 7:30 and fellow Kiss-openers The Envy play first, along with A Lion Named Roar and Aim For The Skies.
