Rolex Kentucky 3-Day competitors take time out of their busy schedules before the competition begins to visit with patients at the Kentucky Children's Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky on April 24.

Bruce "Buck" Davidson Jr., Clark Montgomery, and Michael Pollard visited with patients. Davidson, along with Pollard won a team Gold Medal at last years Pan American Games, as well as a individual Bronze. "It was a very moving experience," said Davidson. "Seeing these children reminded all of us how fortunate we are. It really was a privilege to be able to spend some time with them."

"The children all had great attitudes and very positive outlooks," said Montgomery. "I hope they enjoyed our visit."

The riders brought Davidson's Pan Am Gold Medal for the children to try on. The riders also brought "Rolex Kentucky" posters and pins. They signed autographs, posed for pictures, and took time to talk with the children, asking if they ride, have pets, and asked if they plan on coming to "Rolex Kentucky" next year.

"The visit was very worthwhile," said Pollard. "I hope it is something that we can do again next year."

This visit was organized by the Professional Riders Organization (PRO) and Equestrian Events, Inc., organizer of the Rolex Kentucky 3-Day Event and the Ariat Kentucky Reining Cup.

The Rolex Kentucky 3-Day Event and the Ariat Kentucky Reining Cup are held together at the Kentucky Horse Park the last week in April.
