    Bit to Do

Moms are busy tagging away. The popular KidStuff Sale kid’s consignment sale is underway for the fall shopping season. The early fall season begins Thursday, August 22 and goes through Saturday, August 24. The Oldham County sale is held at the YMCA Soccer Arena in Buckner. The times of the sale are Thursday/Friday: 10am-8pm and Saturday: 10am-5pm. Saturday is also the ½ off everything day!

I have sold many of my children’s items at two sales so far, and am looking forward to the September sale near Jeffersontown so that I can make some extra cash once again. I also use the consignment sales as a way to save a ton of money on seasonal clothes for my two children, and get them some newer to them toys that they love. At the last spring sale, I took my daughter to the ½ price sale on the last day and let her pick out some shoes and a few items of clothing for under $5.00. We also got a very nice messenger backpack that she used for the remainder of the school year. I love this sale and it’s always a huge hit for me as a consignor, wanting to make a little bit of extra money as a SAHM. It also helps me as a mom who tends to like shopping for some great bargains. Since my youngest just turned two and is a boy, it doesn’t really matter to him what he wears, so I always use these sales as opportunities to shop next season for clothes at very affordable prices. I always buy items on the ½ off day and get them for $.50-$1.00. You can’t beat that price! Check out this article about the KidStuff Sale from last year to learn more about it.

The other two sale dates are September 12-15, 2013 in East Louisville and September 26-28, 2013 in Southern Indiana.
