The influence of bluegrass music in Kentucky is undeniable in part because it is kept alive by a group of die-hard fans that continually head out of the house for events like the recording of Kentucky Homefront.
The show is taped on the second Saturday of most months (January and July being the exceptions) at the Clifton Center with the next instance coming up on December 12 (doors at 7pm, show starting at 7:30pm).

The upcoming performance/taping features artists from McCracken County: Sarah Elizabeth and Nathan Blake Lynn in the first hour. A tribute to Louisville's recently departed Tim Krekel follows in the second hour, telling the story of how an informal jam session grows into an ensemble and features. Steve Eilers, Mike Williams, Kevin O'Brian, Ken Lucchese, Amos Hopkins and Eddie Hysinger are scheduled to appear with hosts John Gage and "Col. Bob" joining both sessions.
