The Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame welcomed seven new members into the class of 2013 for its fiftieth year on Thursday, June 13, as well as recognized three outstanding high school athletes.   These new inductees were composed of athletes spanning across the spectrum from college basketball and tennis to horse-racing.  Per the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame press release, the newest members are Calvin Borel, Jerry Carroll, Julie Ditty, Pervis Ellison, Bo McMillin, Donna Bender Moir, Dwayne Woodruff.  The high school students mentioned were James Quick of Trinity High School, Rebecca Greenwell of Owensboro Catholic High School, and Makayla Epps of Marion County High School. The members were welcomed into the Hall of Fame at a beautiful ceremony held at the Crowne Plaza Louisville in the Grand Ballroom that included a dinner and silent auction; proceeds benefited the Kosair Charities. The inductees made reception speeches while their peers and ticketed patrons listened and congratulated their accomplishment.  Louisville.com was able to capture this momentous event and share the highlights with you.
