Justification is unnecessary when it comes to drinking bourbon. This especially applies to you if you’re a Kentucky native. If you’re into bourbon and don't have any plans for the day, you’ll be pleased to know that today, June 14th, is National Bourbon Day.
According to Wikipedia, “Whiskey distilled from maize [was] first produced by American clergyman the Rev Elijah Craig. It is named Bourbon because Rev Craig lived in Bourbon County, Kentucky.”
Working late? No worries. There are plenty of hot spots open late in Louisville to find top-notch bourbon. You can even start checking off destinations on an Urban Bourbon Trail passport. Drink up!
