In case you live in the days lacking of modern music, Jim James has been known as the world renowned front man of My Morning Jacket.  Eight days from now that path will vary as he will release his solo debut album, 'Regions of Light and Sound of God.

The best news you may hear all day, is that James will be coming home to Louisville to perform at The Brown Theatre on Wednesday, April 17th.  In listening to some of the new tracks out there on the interweb, the feel for me is certainly more of a funk/soul/R&Bish groove than a lot of previous material.  A source close to the matter says James has always had a penchant for such 'genres' and it certainly reflects on this personal journey into the magical melodic brain matter of James.
