Introducing “Fitzpleasure” (jim james apple C remix), the latest auditory delight ameliorated by My Morning Jacket front man, Louisville’s own Jim James.

Who in the sweet name of Forecastle is Alt-J, you say?  Well they’ve actually blown up quite a bit globally and are dubbed a ‘British Indie Pop’ bunch that throw a little calmer Ting Tings at some heavy synth and a bit of funk, yet highly melodic, type songs that are quite musically stimulating. Throw in a bit of Jim James and its impossible not to conceive brilliance.

Upon receiving this gem, and briefly speaking to my source they noted that their favorite description of Alt-J, they had read, was ‘Radiohead meets Jose Gonzalez’.  Strong touts in every right but for me personally, this specific remix speaks to me on multiple levels that immediately scream a bit of David Byrne dates Yeasayer/Passion Pit and they birth a little Alt-J for that fine self.  Alt-J’s new album An Awesome Wave (available in the US come September 18th) bolsters to be many personal favorites ,around the world, of the year and the group is also likely in line to receive a Mercury Music Prize (Best Album from the UK and Ireland by the British Phonographic Industry).

Either way, can you really go wrong?  Absolutely not, and not being an overly enthused fan of some ‘electronica’ crossovers, Alt-J is kind of the business.  Enjoy the following and be sure to check out Alt-J when they hit the US.
