    Bit to Do

I do love a good parade. Now I can't personally vouch for Jeffersonville's Celebrating Freedom Parade, since I've never been to it. However, I plan to rectify this horrid situation on Saturday, July 3 at 11am. The parade route follows Spring Street through

    historic downtown Jeffersonville,

from the riverfront to 7th Street (near Heuser Hardware).

After the parade, mosey on over to Warder Park (Spring Street & Court Avenue), where there will be live music by Rascals of Ragtyme, hot dogs, cold drinks, and a brief ceremony.

Finally, stick around Jeffersonville and spend a leisurely afternoon enjoying the local shops and restaurants. Walk the waterfront and explore the historic downtown. Your patience will be rewarded with an 8:30pm concert by the Louisville Orchestra on the Riverstage. This Independence Day Celebration will be conducted by Jason Weinberger, and will feature Sousa Marches and other patriotic favorites.
