English singer-songwriter Jake Bugg is on the road this summer, playing a variety of cities across the country, as part of a world tour which takes in Europe, Japan and Australia. The Bugg express is landing in Louisville on June 17th at 8pm, at Headliners Music Hall, Derby City's locally-owned and operated live music venue.
The young singer, who has wowed fans across the world with his mix of indie, folk and rock, has enjoyed a rapid rise to fame over the space of only the past couple of years, and is currently preparing his third studio album, after 2012's 'Jake Bugg' and last year's 'Shangri-La'. He recently undertook a US record store tour, and played in Austin at the time of SXSW.
Bugg will fit perfectly at Headliners, a venue which combines the best local and national (and international) acts with an amazing atmosphere and sound. Once a cafeteria then a rehearsal space and now one of the leading venues in the city, Headliners will be a great host for Jake's eclectic sound. The location has previously hosted such names as Jimmy Eat World, Neko Case and Old Crow Medicine Show, and is also set to host shows from Mono, Katie Herzig and Somo in the coming weeks.
The show, which will also include a special guest, will be for over 18s, and tickets, which are on sale this Friday, April 18th, will be $20 in advance.
For those that like the music authentic, international and heartfelt, Jake Bugg's appearance at Headliners will be something to look forward to. Make sure you check out the website and book your tickets in plenty of time. You don't want to miss out.
