Gas prices keeping you on a short leash? Always wanted to check out the Louisville attractions but can’t afford to go? Want free candy without having to get into a car with a stranger?

Now is your chance. Today through May 31st, many Louisville area attractions and restaurants are offering special discounts and deals to local residents (that’s anyone with a Kentucky or Indiana ID). Check out these deals:

    • Seventeen “white tablecloth” restaurants in the downtown area are offering a three-course prix fixe dinner menu for $30.00 from now until May 21. Participating restaurants include Vincenzo’s, Yaching’s, the Bristol, the Oakroom, Z’s Fusion, Eddie Merlot’s, Sapporo, and Doc Crow’s.
    • PossibiliTours is giving free tours on Fridays and Sundays at 2pm, departing from the visitor’s center at 4th and Jefferson. Call 502-379-6109 one day in advance to reserve your spot, or take your chances on just showing up.

And the candy? Schimpff’s Confectionary is offering a free ¼ lb of Red Hots. They’ll even let you into the Candy Museum and historic site for free.

So stop whining that there’s nothing to do. Get out. Explore. Anything’s possible in the Possibility City.
