    Bit to Do

    The dragonfly: Nature's ballet dancer
    Print this page

Coming soon to Iroquois Park: The dragonflies and an entire company of supporting artists. The pond at the corner of New Cut Road and Park Road at the edge of the Frisbee Golf Course will soon be teeming with dragonflies--Nature's ballet dancers.

With grace, elegance, speed and simplicity, the dragonfly can move in six directions: up, down, backward, forward, left and right. Its sphere of vision is 360 degrees and more than 3/4ths of its brain is devoted to seeing. Various cultures associate the dragonfly with harmony, happiness, agility and victory.

The Great Meadow at the park summit will feature butterflies navigating wild floral canyons. All performances are free and open to the public and are always and never the same.
