Humana Festival Continues with The Christians

It’s a busy time for Actors Theatre in Louisville.

The Humana Festival routinely brings in theatre gurus and enthusiasts to town from around the country and around the world, all keen on getting a sneak peek at the newest and most promising plays of the year.

The Festival is also a springboard for promising playwrights; many who get their start at Humana move on to successful careers.

Humana’s latest offering, The Christians by Lucas Hnath, is set to be no exception. This entry is marks Hnath’s third straight year of involvement in the festival, which started in 2012 with the highly acclaimed Death Tax.

In The Christians, mega-church Pastor Paul is the leader of his congregation of thousands—but the sermon he is about to give may rock the faith of that congregation just a little bit.

The Christians is directed by Actors Theatre Producing Artistic Director Les Waters. It opens Tuesday, March 4 and runs through April 6.

Ticket options, which include a Locals Pass, single-performance tickets and multi-show packages may be viewed on the Actors Theatre website. They may be purchased online or by calling the box office at 502-584-1205.
