Let's start off with some honesty, I had never heard of Zac Brown Band before last week when I was assigned to review them for HullabaLOU. Also, I generally dislike country music. With that said, I have never seen a crowd so excited, enthusiastic, and in love as when Zac Brown Band took the main stage.

They played an eclectic mix of their songs, along with a cover or two including "Devil Went Down to Georgia".  Their musicality is excellent. The guy playing the violin was killing it. I was impressed, but still not in love. Then they got me in my weak spot...the troops. Have I mentioned that my husband is an active-duty Captain in the Army and just returned from Afghanistan this past November? Also, my best friend is in the Army and is returning from her second tour to Iraq in 1 week.

Zac Brown Band has a song entitled "You and Me" that he dedicated to the soldiers/troops. Then he tactfully reminded the audience that the only reason we are able to be at HullabaLOU listening to him play is because of the men and women in the Armed Forces who keep our country free. He then sang, "America the Beautiful". To top it all off, the band described a program they started entitled "Letters for Lyrics". All you have to do is write and letter to a soldier and take it to a RAM dealership and you'll receive a free CD.

All in all, an entertaining performance that definitely touched a soft spot in my heart. I may not be into their genre of music, but I completely respect them as a band that loves their fans.
