    Bit to Do

Ahh, brunch. One of America’s favorite early afternoon pastimes full of steamy coffee, fried eggs, greasy sausage, decorative fruit, generously dressed salads, gourmet pies, strong mimosas, even stronger Bloody Marys, and now some of the country’s most talented drag queens! This Sunday, Hard Candy event coordinator Daniel Cole is hosting Louisville’s first ever Drag Queen Brunch at 8Up Elevated Drinkery & Kitchen and it’s going to be fabulous.

Forget about those early Sunday morning hours you’ve spent at the Connection and Play. This drag show is sure to be like nothing you’ve ever experienced before. Starting at noon, guests will enjoy 8Up’s extravagant buffet stocked with a variety of their delicious breakfast classics. And as if a full buffet wasn’t enticing enough, all meals will be paired with the best hangover-curing cocktails Brown-Forman has to offer.

And after piling your plate with fresh buttermilk pancakes and smoked salmon at the buffet, you can take a seat, relax, and enjoy performances by Louisville’s current reigning Entertainer of the Year, Trinity Taylor, and former Entertainer of the Year, Vanessa Demornay. And for the fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race, the lovely and vivacious Delta Work will also be performing. Showtimes start at 12:30, 1:30, and 2:30.

And after the first performance ends, that doesn’t mean the party’s over and you can go home and have a Sunday afternoon nap just yet. The drag shows will be followed by a rooftop cocktail party you won’t want to skip out on. Narwhal of the Louisville Music Award-winning OKDeejays will be providing dance music to liven up the one-of-a-kind rooftop atmosphere and of course Brown-Forman will be serving another round of addicting cocktails. Easy like a Sunday morning? Easy like a Louisville Sunday afternoon.

Tickets to the Drag Queen brunch are $75 each and include full access to the brunch buffet, two cocktails from Brown-Forman, and seats for the first drag show. There are also “Sunday Funday” tickets for sale for $20 each and only include access to the post-brunch rooftop after party, one of Brown-Forman's finest cocktails, and seats for the later drag shows.
