Trinity's Darryl Hicks is sitting out this season after transferring from Shelby County but that hasn't stopped college coaches from pursuing the 6-foot-4 shooting guard. I caught up with Hicks last week at the King of the Bluegrass.

Darryl Hicks recently picked up an offer from Florida International. Sitting out is tough for Hicks but he's still working hard and trying to improve his game.

"When the team has practice I just sit there and watch but after that they go work out with Ellis Myles and I work on my ball handling," Hicks said. "I'm also trying to stay in shape so I can be ready for the spring. I'll probably play with the Derek Smith All Stars like I did in Vegas."

"I got another offer this fall from Florida International," Hicks said. "They have invited me to a couple of games. I still haven't made it yet I want to. The local schools, Louisville and Kentucky, are still showing interest. Kentucky invited me up during the summer. Louisville has contacted my parents before. Xavier, Ohio State and Xavier have been showing interest. I like Indiana a lot and I would really like to play for Louisville or Kentucky since I'm from here."

Trinity has an outstanding team this season and it looks like they could be even better next season. The Shamrocks best players, Charles Foster, Nathan Dieudonne Troy Saxton and James Quick, will all be back next season.
