Grizzly Bear is an American rock band from Brooklyn, New York. The band formed in 2002 and consists of Edward Droste (vocals, keyboards, omnichord), Daniel Rossen (vocals, guitar, banjo, keyboards), Chris Taylor (bass, backing vocals, various instruments, producer) and Christopher Bear (drums, backing vocals). Grizzly Bear is known for their strong vocal harmonies and can be categorized as psychedelic pop, folk rock, and experimental. In September 2012 they released their fourth album "Shields" on Warp Records who normally sign electronic artists.
Owen Pallett, previously known as "Final Fantasy," is an avant-garde composer, vocalist, and musician known for his live performances where he often plays a violin into a loop pedal, an effects pedal that allows a musician to record a section of sound played on the instrument. The pedal then plays back that section over and over, or for a set amount of repetitions adding various layers to the music giving the perception of multiple musicians when there is only one.
