Heading to the Mall St. Matthews to do some holiday shopping this weekend? Leave the wrapping up to some very efficient girls.
The Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana are holding up shop at the Mall St. Matthews for the next few weekends, offering free gift wrapping, but donations are appreciated. Do you think that will solve some of your stress-induced problems this holiday season? Sit back and enjoy a latte while the scouts wrap away. Join a friend for some conversation and save a little cash on wrapping paper and a little time to squeeze something else in this holiday season. There is no specific limit on number of gifts someone can have wrapped, and no specific amount of donation required. Gifts are wrapped for whatever donation the gift buyer wants to make.
So after making your purchases this weekend at the mall, be sure to get them wrapped courtesy of Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana. The troops who are participating are accepting donations which will be used toward a variety of projects or troop's individual needs. The Girl Scout troops taking part will be using funds they raise for various troop supplies and activities. For example, some troops will use their funds to buy Journey books and uniforms for girls. Some of the troops who will be doing the gift wrap also plan to use the funds they raise for trips they have planned next year. One troop will be doing a Girl Scout destination trip to Europe; one is going to Washington DC.
The Girl Scout troops will be available for gift wrapping at the following times. Note: Hours may be shortened if traffic is very light toward the end of any given shift:

Sunday, December 16, 11am-7pm
Saturday, December 22, 8am-10pm
Sunday, December 23, 10am-8pm
