Tom Bush-trained Get Stormy and Ramon Dominguez ran wire to wire to capture the 25th Woodford Reserve Turf Classic (GI) by three-quarters of a length over Smart Bid on the Kentucky Derby Day undercard at Churchill Downs.

Bush was elated with his colt's performance.

"If we were going to carve out a dream scenario, that was it," he said. " …I think he’s probably a better horse than he was when he was a 4-year-old. Hopefully there’s more ahead but these are two big races he’s won this spring."

After winning Keeneland's Maker's Mark Mile (GI), Get Stormy crossed the wire in the 1 1/8 mile race in 1:50.81 on a firm Matt Winn Turf Course.

Get Stormy returned $17, $9 and $6. Smart Bid, with jockey Edgar Prado, paid $7.80 and $5.20.  Doubles Partner returned backers $4.80 to show.
