Louisville’s post hardcore sextet, The Foxery, released a three song EP Friday. “American Dissonance” is available for free on bandcamp. The EP comes two years after joining Spartan Records and releasing their debut album “Unless.” On the band’s homepage the group expresses, “We see it as a huge step forward for us musically and lyrically.”
The EP shows how the band has tightened the screws since the 2014 album. It’s a heavier sound with a cleaner finish. The vocals are still confessional, but more attainable. There’s less whine and a more of a unified sound. “Commercial Suicide” is a good example of this in comparison to “Broken Vessels.”
Coinciding with the album release, The Foxery also announced their winter tour dates with label mates, Secret Stuff.
