Louisville’s post hardcore sextet, The Foxery [4], released a three song EP Friday. “American Dissonance” is available for free on bandcamp [5]. The EP comes two years after joining Spartan Records [6] and releasing their debut album “Unless.” On the band’s homepage the group expresses, “We see it as a huge step forward for us musically and lyrically.”
The EP shows how the band has tightened the screws since the 2014 album. It’s a heavier sound with a cleaner finish. The vocals are still confessional, but more attainable. There’s less whine and a more of a unified sound. “Commercial Suicide” is a good example of this in comparison to “Broken Vessels.”
Coinciding with the album release, The Foxery also announced their winter tour dates with label mates, Secret Stuff [7].
