Where can you find the food trucks in Louisville throughout these warm months? Here are some tips:
Head to the Flea Off Market every month. It’s held during the second weekend of every month at 1007 East Jefferson Street. They also pair up with other events going on around the city such as the Boomtown Festival this weekend in New Albany. Another great place to spot your favorite food truck or items from them is to shop your local farmer’s markets and/or attend the many Louisville spring and summer festivals happening all over the place. For example, Grind Burger Kitchen’s specialty smoked ketchup can be found at Louisville Local Market.
Follow Where The Trucks At on Twitter. It’s a gem of a social media tool. It’s a food truck finder that uses real-time GPS location data. It works nationally and Louisville is one of its cities, super cool and handy! Every day I check this Twitter handle to find out where the trucks are going to be.
Louisville Street Food Alliance on Facebook: Check the “Get Notifications” after you Like them on Facebook. It is always updating for me on my Facebook feed where they are going to be during the week, every week. It’s a great way to stay up to date!
You can also find information by liking Louisville Food Truck Association and Louisville Food Trucks on Facebook. The Food Truck invasion occurs downtown at the Mayor’s office at City Hall on the first Tuesday of every month.
Here is a photo set of the food trucks (found on Facebook or Twitter) that are actively serving throughout the city.
