Louisville music fans will get a rare chance to see iconic Fleetwood Mac Guitarist Lindsey Buckingham live and up close as he performs at Headliners Music Hall tonight.
Buckingham’s show in Louisville is part of a year long acoustic tour that has allowed him to highlight and share his unique talents as a guitarist, singer and songwriter.
The performance at Headliners comes on the same day as the release of his first ever solo acoustic album titled, “Lindsey Buckingham: One Man Show.” The music was recorded during a September 1st stop on the tour in Des Moines, Iowa. Buckingham says the album, available digitally on iTunes, will be much like his show tonight.
“It’s live and raw, with no post-production. I love it. It captures not only the spirit of the performance, but also the spirit of where I now live as an artist.”
Buckingham has said the idea for the acoustic tour stemmed from his belief that as an artist, you need to keep an eye on “what lives at the center.” He says, “My center has always been the voice and guitar, and as I’ve evolved, I’ve looked to broaden the range and vocabulary of that center.”
During tonight’s performance he will play many songs he’s written and recorded as a solo artist such as “Go Insane,” and “Trouble,” as well as Fleetwood Mac favorites he wrote including “Go Your Own Way,” and “Never Going Back Again.”
The close and intimate setting of Headliners is the perfect venue for the acoustic show.
