Come on. You know you danced around your kitchen to the music when the movie came out in 1983.
Now is your opportunity to hum along with those hit songs (refrain from dancing in the theatre please) as Flashdance takes the stage at the Kentucky Center January 15-20, 2013.
Remember the film? Alex Owens is a Pittsburgh welder by trade. At night, she dances at a bar and has ambitions to make it to the big time.
With a score comprised of those 80’s hits you heard at the roller skating rink, “Gloria,” “What a Feeling,” “I Love Rock & Roll,” and “Maniac,” along with 16 new songs written for the stage adaptation, Alex dances her way to her dream.
Tickets for Flashdance start at $25 and go on sale today, Friday, November 30th at 10:00 am at the Kentucky Center box office, Ticketmaster outlets, online, or by calling 502-584-7777.
Flashdance is part of the PNC Broadway in Louisville series.
