Traffic around Bardstown Road and Eastern Parkway is always a bear, but please accept my sincere apologies for making it slow to a crawl for a couple hours on Sunday. That's right - I was the green haired woman in a duct tape corset shouting, "Where are the flying cars? I was promised flying cars!" while holding up a sign reading, 'Teddy Grahams are EVIL!'
Give me a little credit. I wasn't marching and chanting alone...that would make me crazy. Doing it in a group, on the other hand, made it awesome. Hush, hipsters. You know you wish you'd thought of it first.
Our Flash Mob protesting against protests included people with 4 artificial hair colors, 3 sign toting women in bunny ears, a classy lady fresh from church, and my personal favorite - a man carrying his daughter in a Baby Bjorn whose sign read, 'I Support the Rhythm Method.' A dozen of us made twice that many signs while marching and chanting outside the Qdoba for nearly 2 hours. 
Local reactions ran the gamut from a Christian couple giving us small crosses and promising, "God loves you anyway," to a grinning older gentleman who rolled down his car window to shout, "Who's going to do something about the 500 Chinese submarines in my bathtub!" Whoever you are, I want to be you when I grow up, sir. I'd say it was a roughly even mix of people who gave us thumbs up and or honked support as they drove past versus people who literally crossed to the other side of the road to avoid us. Twice, we actually tried to get attention from the cops, but apparently stranger things than us wander down Bardstown Road on an average Tuesday.
