Inspired Style presented by Churchill Downs on Saturday, April 7, 2012 features Derby fashions from some the hottest boutiques and designers from Sunny Daize Boutique, Boutique Serendipity, blink Boutique and Optik by Korrect. The models will be bronzed and beautiful thanks to sponsors Sun Tan City and Bennie and Friends.
The event has been a long-time collaboration in the works from Joey Wager of J Wager Group, Andre Wilson of Style Icon and Churchill Downs. Wagner said he is “excited about our Inspired Style Derby Fashion Show and I feel that Andre and I will put together the premier Kentucky Derby Fashion show every year.” He also said that he feels “we both think outside the box, so I feel that some of the stuff we are doing during this show is going to be awesome.”
The event starts at 7:00 p.m. with a red carpet entrance followed by a cocktail reception and then the fashion show will take place with emcee Angie Fenton of The Voice-Tribune and WHAS 11’s Great Day Live. After the show attendees will have the opportunity to show from the sponsors in their unique pop-up boutiques with music throughout the event from DJ Ryan Coxx.
“The Kentucky Derby is one of the most fashionable sporting events in the world and we’re showing what the current trends are to enhance the style aspect of the Derby and Oaks” said Wilson of Style Icon. While there are no rules on what you have to wear, this fashion show will give you some fabulous ideas to take into consideration for whatever your plans may be for this exciting weekend in Louisville, Ky.
