Best Lawyers?
I enjoyed your article on the best lawyers in Louisville (March) but was somewhat perplexed about the selection process. Neither myself nor any member of my association (approximately 12 lawyers) was contacted.
No one who was a student of Louisville history in the last 10 years would leave off the honorable Thomas Fitzgerald, who has been a forceful and powerful advocate for the environment locally. In addition, although there is no housing category, no best lawyer list is complete without the addition of Robert Frederick “Bullitt Bob” Smith from the Legal Aid Society. He is without a doubt one of the finest trial lawyers in town.
Another environment attorney is the honorable Lori Anderson, who does environmental work for the Jefferson County Attorney’s Office. These lawyers should be added to your list.
Anyone who has lived in Louisville for the last 15 years would be extremely perplexed by any listing of First Amendment lawyers that does not include David Friedman, who is probably the finest constitutional lawyer in this state, and one of the finest in the nation.
